HOW I HEAR GEORGIA'S PAST
A hundred years ago, Georgian composer Victor Dolidze premiered the comic opera Keto and Kote. Over the past century, the famous Georgian Dance from this opera has been performed all around the world. Today, as George Licheli — a modern torchbearer of Georgia’s cultural heritage — I present my own symphonic interpretation of this classic. This is more than just an adaptation. It’s a personal vision — deeply felt and reimagined — where history comes alive through music.
